Break into Spring Products {FREEBIE}

Woo hoo!  I'm on Spring Break!  My week is filled with a whole lot of nothing!  I do plan on prepping a few things for the next week back to school, but since it's Monday and the last day of March, I thought I'd show you a few of the products that I will be using when we go back next week.  I love spring time and all the fun that comes with it!

First up is one of my favorite months for writing - April!  This Common Core-Aligned Writing Pack for April includes the 3 different types of writing required by the Common Core (opinion, narrative, informative/explanatory) and for an added bonus, a Shared Research piece which is also required in the Common Core, but often overlooked.

The students will be writing an opinion piece about the importance of recycling (for Earth Day), a cross-curricular informative/explanatory piece about the life cycle of a butterfly, a narrative piece about a time they have been tricked or fooled (for April Fool's Day), and a shared research piece about the water cycle.  Each piece includes a writing prompt page, a graphic organizer to help the students prepare their piece, and differentiated publishing paper.  The students create such fun pieces during this month!  These can easily be used with any writing curriculum or as a part of your writing center.  Check out the contents below:

New to my store this spring are my Spring ELA Printables.  Just like my other seasonal printable packs, these graphic organizers can be used with any book or story.  Many of my customers have said they also like using them as a reading response sheet in their centers for the month - great idea!  This product is Common Core-Aligned and maintains the rigor of the Common Core while adding some seasonal fun to your skill sheets.  Check out the contents below:

See how I use some of the printables in the pictures below.  I blogged about these pictures and even include a FREEBIE {HERE}.

Next are my centers for April!  I love the graphics in this file, so bright and fun and my students loved them last year!  You can see all that's included in the picture below.  This set includes some traditional centers like my other sets, as well as some easy-prep games and fun!

Last but certainly not least and completely NEW to my TPT Store are my Addition and Subtraction Self-Checking QR Code Task Cards!  They're robot-themed so that they can be used year-round for review of such a difficult skill!  These task cards include both addition and subtraction with and without regrouping, so that you can differentiate or progress as the year goes on.  These are so much fun!  I will be back later on this week for a detailed tutorial on how to use these in your classroom!  All you need is one iPhone (you can use an old one when you get an upgrade), iPod, or iPad and you're all set for a super fun math center!  Again, I'll be back with a blog post to talk about these in more detail this week.  You can check them out below!

Well, that's all for now!  Feel free to PIN any of the items above to spread the love!  Make sure you check back later this week for the QR Code tutorial!  Until then, enjoy your week!
