Huge Sale on TpT and March Math and Literacy Centers

Well, my friends, I've seriously been sitting with my laptop in my lap for THREE hours trying to upload my latest product to TpT....whew!  Everybody and their mama must be trying to upload products right now, because that took fOrEvEr.  But, as promised, my March Math and Literacy Centers are uploaded and ready for the gigormous {yes, that is a nonsense word and yes, I use it daily} sale on TpT tomorrow for Leap Day!  In case you haven't heard, TpT is offering 10% off using the code L2P9Y at checkout and in the spirit of the Leap Day holiday, I'm also joining up with bloggers everywhere to offer an EXTRA 20% off of everything in my store all day tomorrow.  This means that TpT will be crazy busy tomorrow, so get your shop on early!  :o)

My newest unit is cute as can be {March Math and Literacy Centers}!  There are 88 pages of awesomeness with 6 math centers and 6 literacy centers.  Each center includes a task card, materials and game boards, and a recording sheet.  Many of the activities are leveled for differentiation purposes and, of course, the entire pack is aligned to the Common Core Standards.  Click the picture below or Click Here to Download from my store!

Check out everything you can get!

I'm including some direct links to my other products on TpT for your shopping convenience.  Don't forget EVERYTHING will be 20% off in my store, plus an additional 10% using the code L2P9Y at checkout.  That's almost 30% off.  I can't wait to fill up my digital shopping cart myself :)

Fraction Fun

Hello again!  This week we've been working on fractions in math and we have strayed away from the math textbook for some hands-on activities.  So I purchased some fraction activities from some of my favorite bloggers: Amy Lemons at Step Into Second Grade and Lindsey at The Teacher Wife.  Love these two ladies and all of their ideas!  Take a look at all the fun we had working with fractions.

These fraction pizzas were a big hit!

These fraction flip books were an awesome way for my students to visualize how 1/2 and 2/4 are equivalent fractions.  We will also be using the fraction books when comparing fractions.

My Book of Fractions was found in this pack from The Teacher Wife and my students loved it and all of the other materials in that pack!

We had a ton of fun with these fraction activities - hands-on learning is the best!

 Thanks for following!

De-Stressing Linky Party

There's nothing like a Friday night after a long week!  With that being said, I'm linking up with Brenda over at Primary Inspired.  She's hosting a link party to share ideas for de-stressing.  She is juggling grad classes, teaching, and taking care of family.  I can totally relate!  I'm taking my last class right now, so I'm exhausted as well.  Her question was "How do you de-stress?"  Well, let me show you...

Retail Therapy,

Caffeine,

and Zumba!

To all the other grad student/teacher/mommies out there, hang in there!  You'll make it!  There IS a light at the end of the tunnel 'cause I can see it!  Head on over to Primary Inspired and let us know how you de-stress :)

Also, be on the look-out.  I will be posting the Reading Street resources for Bad Dog Dodger and another new creation I'm working on...it's a surprise and I think you'll love it!  :)

Do you need some fun money activities?

I am teaching money right now.  After the whole group lesson, we break up into small groups for guided instruction.  I needed something to keep my kiddos engaged while I was working in small groups, so I designed these math activities/centers for my students to work on when I'm with a small group.  I think they're super cute!  Click on the picture or Click Here to Download.

You can get a sneak peek of what's included in the preview picture below.

Do you all teach math this way?  I guess it would be a form of guided math.  I teach whole-group for 15-20 minutes, then break into small groups where I meet with each group for a set time.  This allows for good differentiation of the content AND assessment.  How do you teach math?  What keeps your kiddos busy and engaged during small group time?  Leave me a comment below.

In the words of Junie B. Jones, Wowie Wow Wow, I have 200+ followers!  You know what that means...GIVEAWAY TIME!  I'll be back tomorrow to post all the details :)

What I Love Linky Party

I'm linking up with Funky First Grade Fun to have a little fun.  Hop on over to her blog and link up!  I love reading these!

Right now, I'm also loving what I have planned for this next week.  Stay tuned to hear more about the fun we are having in our classroom!  If I can get it finished, I'll be back to break blogging rules and post a freebie tonight {*GASP*, what a rebel!}.

What I'm NOT loving?  Hmm, the super bowl.  I am just not a football girl, only know who's playing because I've overheard others talking.  Now I know this makes me a little UN-American, but I just don't get interested.  Anybody with me?
