A Few Fabulous Finds...

OK y'all.  I went to run a few errands yesterday and just HAD to pick up some awesome finds and just HAD to share them with some people who would appreciate.  The hubby just gave me a blank stare :)

Exhibit A: Awesome New Borders

Don't you just love these borders?  They're from Frog Street Press and they're double-sided.  Love 'em!

Exhibit B: Colored Duct Tape

Oh my!  I've heard about this awesome little idea of colored duct tape!  Now....what do I do with it?!  :)

Exhibit C: A Cute Little Planner

I just couldn't resist.  It ties in so well with my colors.  Perhaps it'll be my lesson plan book if I can step away from the digital lesson plans.  Hmmm....

Exhibit D: More Bins

These little bins are going to totally revamp my metal storage cabinet in my classroom.  AND they were on sale for $0.92 rather than $0.97 at Target!  How can you pass that up?!  That's five whole cents per bin!!

Ahhhh.....doesn't it flow together beautifully.... :)

I did manage to pass up the patterned duct tape.  It was more expensive.  My hubby was SO proud...LOL

I also downloaded two professional books to my iPad to read this summer both by "the sisters".  I have got to find out what all the hype is about!  If you have used The Daily Five or CAFE...do you love it?

That is... if I can pry myself away from this little piece of literature found below ;-)

Hope those of you on summer break already are enjoying it as much as I am.  It's funny though how my 2nd week of summer break I'm already planning for next year's classroom decor and reading up on two pieces of professional literature.  Who says teachers don't work in the summer?  :)

  1. Love your finds! I have a weird obsession with plastic storage boxes and I grab them even when I don't need them! I also have that paint splatter duct tape which is soo much cooler than the plain gray stuff!

  6. I have ABSOLUTELY been working hard already this summer and I'm currently on week 2 of summer as well! The CAFE and Daily 5 are absolutely FANTASTIC. I caved in 2 years ago to find out what the hype was about, and was instantly OBSESSED! I hope you find it as wonderful as I have. I'd love to hear what you think as I am a second grade teacher as well.

PS LOVE LOVE LOVE the colored tape.

  8. Thanks for the comments girls! Lisa, I haven't seen any black/red duct tape, but I'll be on the lookout and let you know if I find any! I am finding it everywhere! Hobby Lobby, WalMart, Target, Lowe's, so I'll keep my eyes open :)

  11. That's so funny...I bought those two books myself, and have been defending my obsession with laminating & cutting things out for next year to all my non-teacher friends! Enjoy your summer!

  12. I, too, found the colored duct tape and couldn't keep my hands off. My firsties have separate desks that somehow manage to magically move around all day! I put the tape on the floor so the kids always know where their desk belongs. Now I'm actually able to walk around the room again! Cute and functional!

BTW, I'm a newbie to blogging so any support or feedback is VERY appreciated!
